Shuttie’s Big Adventure…

… a couple of years on, I admit, but a big adventure nontheless. There’s this guy I used to work with, you see. His name is Ian Shuttleworth, and a couple of years ago (has it really been that long?? Where does the time go?) he and his wife Debbie took the plunge and moved out to New Zealand. I have just found the link to his site, and I can honestly say that I am insanely jealous of the life he has made for himself out there. Bastard.

Farmer Copleys

Farmer Copleys is a lovely little farm shop, about 5 minutes from my house. I don’t really want to pimp businesses here, but I am consistenly inmpressed with the produce I can get from them, as well as their prices.

I’m afraid that they don’t have any online selling capability, but the plus side of this is that I know that the good stock will always be available in the shop itself.

My Piano Wants to Kill Your Uncle

I am torn between Frank Zappa and John Carpenter this month. the FZ comes from an attempt to copy his style that failed quite badly :-). I won’t bore you with a link. The John Carpenter reference is to do with my entry for the GHRC‘s May task – “Movie Madness”. It’s a bit strange, mostly as a result of the composition / recording process I used, but it can be found here

All your technical books in one place

I have to let you know about Computer Manuals. This is one of the best online bookshops that I have used. Unlike some of its competitors, they have a sensible shipping cost policy – 2-3 day delivery to Mainland UK for example is included in the cost of the book.

Of course, technical books are all very well, but what about non-technical tomes? They’re expanding their other sections too. For example, biographies,
Crime and mysteries, etc. The list goes on.

Go on. Have a look. you know it makes sense.

Sri Lanka Travel Guide

If only I had known about World66’s guide to Sri Lanka before my honeymoon, I would have had a much better idea of what I was going to experience.

This is a concise, but well written guide to the country, and is just one of the many that are available at world66.
